Omer A. Heacox was originally from Schenectady, New York. He attended the College of Engineering at University of Kentucky from 1930 to 1935 and graduated with a B.S. in Engineering. He was a member of Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity and a Sergeant in Company C of the ROTC, served on the Inter-fraternity council, and ran freshman track. Mr. Heacox went on to serve in World War II.
